Personal Philosophy and Profile
I believe that God gives gifts to all of us and that teaching language arts, and particularly writing, is my gift. I serendipitously discovered through the years that with sufficient instructional time I can turn reticent, reluctant students into writers and authors. My love for students combined with my specialized training makes for an exciting classroom environment. After more that twenty years, I still find teaching a rich and rewarding experience.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family, ministering to others, gardening, cross-country skiing, kayaking, and hiking.
